An adoption forum friend shared your blog with me. We have been home with our 17 month old daughter for about a week now and I have been blown away by unexpected emotions. The most valuable thing to me right now is hearing from others who have gone before me. I am learning quickly that I am not the only one to experience these complicated post-adoption emotions.

You are an excellent writer by the way!Tim and Sara DenHartighhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04261284695410702911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34418044.post-54045820923396777572011-02-16T18:21:05.286-07:002011-02-16T18:21:05.286-07:00God is using you...your 'different' you......God is using you...your 'different' you...to heal and to bring Him glory...

that's all I have - other than I am and will always be addicted to your writing.Hollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12870698663706346467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34418044.post-34464342793850037862011-02-16T15:34:39.402-07:002011-02-16T15:34:39.402-07:00Thank you for sharing this. I'm slowly gaining perspective but for months I was caught in the mud. This is a necessary truth that needs to be told.Jaime & Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17236050046157922968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34418044.post-55023100485818926582011-02-16T14:51:08.622-07:002011-02-16T14:51:08.622-07:00It's amazing how much your words are mine too....It's amazing how much your words are mine too.Carlahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09012361340969011694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34418044.post-26513959702470178762011-02-16T13:15:25.087-07:002011-02-16T13:15:25.087-07:00Tears came as I read this. I makes me feel so normal (something I haven't been feeling much lately!) to read what you've written. The journey is not what we expect, but so worth it. I have been struggling with a loss of compassion, and an inability to rejoice with others who are adopting as I used to, But like you, God has been with me every step of the way.

Thanks for being so genuine.Bonnie Nieuwstratenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05187032879567501612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34418044.post-66398227079801401922011-02-16T11:39:39.092-07:002011-02-16T11:39:39.092-07:00I love how real you have been about your journey. ...I love how real you have been about your journey. You know of my hope to adopt one day and I thank you for painting a real picture, a honest picture about the struggles, the challenges, and the joys. Bless you my friend, as you continue to mother your kids the best you know how.Lisa Stuckyhttp://www.lisacstucky.comnoreply@blogger.com
