With several kids in the house already, what's a few more? Have you ever heard Them say that?
With babies, I personally do not believe this is true. Each baby requires time, individual care and attention, preferably from mama. A (precious, beautiful, sweet-smelling, cuddlebug, wondrous)baby in the house makes for more work and less sleep, no way around it.
However, we did have a sleep over with Katy's 3, and it was pretty much life as usual. Yes, there were 8 kids here. It might as well have been just our 5. It was no more difficult. (Sure, it helps that Ethan, Alex and Evelyn are some super good kiddos with some super good parents.) We just did the same thing we would have been doing anyway and they fit right into the fold. Quite encouraging to me. I do love myself a house-full of chitlins. I know if it were the norm, it wouldn't be as easy, but still, I was glad to experience 8 for one date.

They put on a play for us. It had lots of sword fighting.
The stage, with the Princess and her Royal Cat.
Dinnertime.
Making Snowmen.
Kung Fu Panda screening.
On a side note, when Katy was still here, preparing to leave and our the kids were asking for the sleepover, I knew I could tell her for certain, "When he gets home from work, (and finds a few spare children in his house) Bob will be fine with it. He won't mind at all." And, he didn't. Not a bit. I like that guy. A whole lot.

I'm glad that everyone just fell in line. I think that your new kids will too, when they get here. Thank you for that spontaneous date that night!
