Old is.....

34 and I'm only kidding. I know that's not really old....unless you're comparing it to the age of someone quite young, of course. I will officially be turning old on December 27, one day before my darling daughter turns the tender (very very young and still SO babyish) age of 1.
Truth be told, I would not accept an offer to rewind time a decade for all the money (or even babies) in the world. I have no desire to revisit the errors of my 20s. There are many new and exciting adventurous mistakes awaiting me in my current, middle aged state. Take for example, making all of you who are further along in years than myself angry with this talk of my old age. I'm sure I will learn from this experience and not repeat next year, when I am older and wiser.

OLD is such a relative term. I recently went to Atherton Baptist Homes, where Neil's mother lives, and in answer to "How is your mother-in-law doing?" said, "For 93, she's doing quite well, thank you!"

The response? "Around here, 93 is young!" They still have a lady who is living in independent living at 104!!

My theory about age: 20's were good, 30's were better, and 40's . . . you get the picture. I think we get better as we get older, richer in life's experience, hopefully a little wiser and much more appreciative of God's creation and His amazing blessings!

Hey wait a second Sandy and I are both 38. I liked you till this post LOL - just kidding. While I don't have a family like you just yet. I to don't want to revisit any part of my 20's I am very happy with the way things are going for me now. Thats not to say I don't look back at the fun times I had..

I agree, we get smarter with age. In my 20's I thought I knew it all. lol
When I hit 30, I thought my life as I knew it was over.
Now, just having turned 40, I realize that age is a gift.
I wouldn't want to relive those years for anything.
