I love having the children around. I love homeschooling them and living in boonesville. I love the presence of those little people. I know it is temporary and I try to make the most of our time together while they are here. Thankfully, I'm not a woman who requires much "me time." But every once in a while, seriously, a girl can go looney if she doesn't get a bit of a break. Continuous labor can make regrouping, refreshing, reflecting quite challenging.
So, we took the kids to CS, left them with their grandparents, and ran a big bunch of errands yesterday. About 8 hours worth. Hot date, eh? It was actually very fun and quite relaxing. Clover was a champ. She hung in there like a big girl. We picked up goodies for some cheese and chocolate fondue and had that for dinner when we returned home, then watched Deal or No Deal.
I miss the kids. I am thankful for the opportunity to feel that way.
Thank you grandparents for investing some of your time with JOTS and giving Bob and I some greatly appreciated, much needed respite.

I am so happy for you! Moving way from family has made this quite challenging, luckily while in CO we were able to steal a day away!
That's wonderful! God bless grandparents who can, and do, take the little ones from time-to-time. You really do deserve a great break. Enjoy!
