1) Grandpa came over yesterday afternoon to watch the boys so I could go to Jayla's classroom and help with their party. Very interesting very, very interesting. It's now officially safe for me to say I will never become a Kindergarten teacher. My hat is off to the remarkable individuals who fill those shoes!
2) Nana came over also and joined us for dinner. Always a pleasure.
3) Stayed WARM, actually extremely warm, by going to the elementary school for a fundraising event with games and prizes, trick-or-treating down the hallways, costume contests....
4) 50% of our children won the costume contest for their age ranges. I won't say who, but I'll give you a hint: one is green and says ribbit ribbit and the other is a large yellow porous material who wears square pants (and in this case an accompanying super-hero cape).
5) Onyx commented this was the best Halloween he has ever, ever had. It surpassed all of his former Halloweens. This is especially significant since he only remembers 1 of his previous 3, which would be last year.
Saved the best for last.
6) The adult to child ratio was 1:1 with the help of grandpa and nana!!!!! Hey, are you guys up for full time employment, or uh...I mean uncompensated slave labor? Having two more sets of eyes and hands was spectacular and it certainly helped us to avoid the loss of scattering children. Thank you!
