Long before we met you, we anticipated your arrival.
We were full of gratitude from the moment we found out you existed.
We did not know your gender, or how beautiful you would be, we only knew you were ours, and that was all that mattered.
Long before we met you, we prayed for you.
At first we prayed, "Lord God, allow this pregnancy to continue, so we may one day meet this dear child." As you grew, we prayed for your protection, for your health, and for proper development of all your little parts.
Long before we met you, we were thankful to learn you were a girl.
We chose a name for you and we longed to meet our Clover True.
A place was prepared for you, with clothes small and pink, and your daddy and I spoke of the times we would share.
Long before we met you, we were ready to do anything for you.
Whatever you needed, we would willingly provide. We would go to the ends of the earth, pursue every avenue necessary, expend ourselves fully, to give you all that you require, however large or small.
Long before we met you, we loved you.
We did not know you, but we loved you. We yearned to meet you, to see your face, to smell your skin, to hear your first cry, to count your fingers and your toes, to hold you in our arms. We loved you then, we love you now. More than words can say, we love you.
We are so glad you have joined our family sweet Clover. Before you, we were incomplete. Welcome home little girl.
