Stryder in a big boy bed.

Another one, leaving the nest. Okay, not really leaving the nest, but leaving the crib and that's a step toward *you know what* (final nest departure!) Boo hooo. Oh was it only yesterday I was complaining about how incredibly challenged I am with this work and now, today I want these darling little ones to never grow up and leave? Why yes. That is true. I can let my emotions run from time to time and having a house full of sickies will fray the nerves in a hurry. On the best of days, with everyone healthy, it's a full, busy day, so when you add illness to the mix it can wear on me, making me long for a little R&R in a big way.....anywho.....Sweet Stryder has decided to climb out of his crib whenever he feels it's time to get up, so we were thinking for his own personal safety we should move him to a bed, where the climb out isn't so dangerous. He laid down nicely, all ready for sleep, until 1:00am when he thought it would be an appropriate time to wake his siblings for a little breakfast. Oy...that kid. Back to the crib then, until this morning when it was actually time for breakfast....and he climbed out. We'll have to keep working on this one. No hurry though because I'm never letting Clover out of the bassinet in our room. She will be 15 years old sleeping right by mommy's bed. As it should be.

Good news. I found a babysitter. He name is Bob. He is really cheap, great with kids and he said he would watch them this weekend so I can take a long bath and a long walk. No, it's not dinner out and a luxurious evening in a hotel room, but it is a break of sorts and I'll take what I can get....I'll just have to wear earplugs to my "spa."

Onyx eating his birthday happy meal. Since we couldn't go to McD's, his restaurant of choice, daddy brought home happy meals for all.
