Date Night.

I can hardly wait....
Second Presidential debate tonight!!
It's always recommended that those with young children make their marriage a priority and schedule some time alone together....um, yeah, sure, right, okay....WHATEVER! Seriously, does anyone know the going rate for babysitters these days? Let's just say it's nearly two and a half times as much as I made at my first job and nearly four times as much as the date itself costs. With 5 kids and a hefty commute to pick up and take home those going-broke-just-to-have-you-over-to-play-with-JOTSC teen girls, those dates don't come easily or frequently.

That's why nights like tonight are so exciting. It's our date night. I'm just crazy about watching this Presidential race unfold. I am enjoying having something to think about, other than how I can legally, humanely and *lovingly* clamp the children's mouths closed when they are about to scream, cry, yell, complain, or whine, to make our home a more peaceful place to reside. (Only kidding. I would never want to do that. Not ever. I wouldn't even dare to daydream about such things. Never. That would just be wrong.)
Bob and I can watch and have riveting conversations about topics of interest. Topics that will affect the future of our screaming, crying, yelling, complaining, and whining kids who love to exercise their freedom of speech. We want only the best for those loud little whippersnappers.
McCain, Obama, thank you for putting a little spice into this marriage.
See you tonight.
