Making applesauce......

And, trying to figure out how to teach the kids about the more authentic, less glamorized, first Thanksgiving, including what transpired afterward with the Native Americans who offered life-saving hospitality to the Pilgrims.....and cleaning light fixtures and ceiling fans just in case any of the guest coming over for Thanksgiving turkey wear their white gloves to inspect dust mites.....still exploring information in a quest for further insight about the beginning of the world as we know it.....determining ways to avoid the frenzy, stress, and obligation of the holiday season.....praying/seeking the Lord about some relational issues....working on techniques to maintain my cool when kids scream/fuss/fight (no, they're not really working, no tips there!).....
Life is currently leaving me little time or desire to blog : )
Sorry about the delay in bread info.
I personally do not freeze it. Since only one loaf can be made at a time in the machine, we just eat it all, then make another fresh. If we run out of bread and are in a pinch, wanting sandwiches, I will make them with tortillas, either rolled up or one on top of the other and cut into triangles with a pizza cutter. So, I don't know how it freezes. I also don't know what a slicing guide is, so no. I don't use one ;-) Bob's mom gave me a super-duper bread knife with deep, sharp grooves that cuts really well. Have a wheat loaf baking now, smelling up the house just the way I like it! Had nut bread for breakfast. Yum.
Off to enjoy this beautiful fall weather by spending some quality time with my clothes line, then shaving off the boys' mowhawks.
Dolly and I say Happy Wednesday to you! We're not sure how soon we will return to blogland.....maybe tomorrow, or quite possibly not ;-)

thanks for the update on the bread.
I made three loaves of the honey wheat yesterday - I have 1 loaf left - uh...my family loved it just a little.
french bread in there right now.

I am, however, a horrible cutter.
