Rock the vote baby.

During this election season, I have been reading, watching, listening, observing, seeking input. What should we, as men and women of and for God be thinking or doing? Politics is THE subject. The one that causes all the stirring and strife among people. What are the proper perspectives and attitudes for God-fearing Bible-believing Christians to hold? How far is it appropriate to delve into political matters and with how much vigor?
There seem to be many varying opinions on this topic.
As one with great interest in this area, I have been asking myself is that wrong? Does interest in the political arena mean lack of trust in the sovereign God? Is there one proper way for Christians to view politics?
I don't really think so.
I'm thinking (at this point in time, I could be swayed if the error of my ways were to be made clear), some people have it and some don't. Some people rather enjoy politics and others not at all. Some could talk about it for hours on end, and some could not care less. Some are just waiting for this election to be over, whatever the outcome, while others will become genuinely elated to see their candidate gain victory or truly feel the agony of defeat in loss. Some are compelled to use their voice, others prefer to stay quiet.

God has wired us differently with different affections and aptitudes. There are certain people who are great activists and like to be on the front lines of the battles, while others tend to hang back or focus on something entirely different.
He can use us all and there is absolute need for all kinds of people. No Christian can deny the necessity of believing men and women holding positions of authority in offices around the country, ideally allowing the Lord to guide and direct their steps.
The nature of political decisions are that the judgements of few affect the masses. Moral and ethical matters are obviously intertwined with law. It seems God often utilizes folks in a mighty way in the political scene to further His kingdom. To do that, they must speak up.

I think it is good to stand up firmly for what we believe is right as we place ultimate trust in God.
Let Thy will be done in the election tomorrow....
