Well then, back to food.

Whose kids don't enjoy a peanut butter and jelly sandwich?
Regular jelly is loaded with high fructose corn syrup and the all fruit kind have jars that are so small our family can go through an entire one every couple of days without even trying.
In Wendy Jeub's cookbook, Love in the House, she shares a jam/jelly recipe that is quite simple and really delicious.
Just mix 1 1/2-2 cups of pureed berries (I've been using frozen) of any kind with a quarter cup of sugar. Cook for a while to thicken. (She uses the microwave, I prefer to boil it on the stove.) Let cool and wala! It's a very yummy, relatively inexpensive jelly with plenty of real fruit, a little organic sugar to sweeten, and no preservatives. It keeps nicely in the fridge for a few days.
