Seems appropriate right about now :)

After receiving several calls and e mails this morning, I must say I did not realize anything I was saying was concerning. I'm sorry to have caused alarm.

To me, what I've communicated is completely normal and natural. Of course it would seem that way to me! I'm thinking bringing 2 new kids at once, who are not babies, into your family with 5 kids already, from a different continent and culture with a different language and different food and a completely different life lived in an orphanage for as long as they can remember would tend to cause *a few* waves. Ahem. No big shock, it has ☺

But we're really fine. Life is going on with the daily routine which keeps us very busy and I still do NOT consider anything we've experienced to be extreme, AT ALL. It's just part of the process. Focus on process, because this is a real journey. Through it, I for one, am being made into a different, better, bolder, braver, more loving version of my former self. Not without some bumps and bruises along the way. That's all I've been shaing with you.

Our first post placement visit went excellently this morning. It was a different social worker than the one that did our homestudy. This woman was more our age, with 4 kids of her own and easy, easy, easy to talk to. I fully disclosed with her the ups and downs, trials and triumphs we have faced so far, and she was not concerned whatsover :)

It is now 11:32 and we are 'episode free' so far today and I'm counting my March 9th blessings as I love on my new daughter (and son.) Because this adventure is truly one day at a time.

Yep, normal. It's all a part of the process... Send 'em over my way if they need to know that this is just how it goes. :)

Wow. Id think you were 'abnormal' if you weren't disclosing some of the hard parts.
Adding 2 new kids to the family is never going to be easy...and you knew that going into it and you are working through the 'process'.
I think you are doing awesome. And I didn't find anything you said concerning...I felt overwhelmed for you, but not concerned about any of you!
