Things I learned from Little House on the Prairie: Part 1

That having one or two sets of clothes for everyday wear, plus one nice outfit for Sunday is sufficient. How much of our lives do we spend maintaining our clothing? Years, I'm sure. All those clothes, that ridiculous amount we somehow seem to accumulate, sure to impress someone (who?) must be stored and organized and cleaned and sorted and folded and put away. I'm thinking of backing down to 3 outfits per person for our family. Just like the Ingalls. Now, that would be impressive!

From now on, this is my Sunday dress: ☺

Sorry-can't go there with you on this one. Trevor would be out of clothing by noon. I think his little rear-end is rather cute, but I sure do like it covered when we have to run errands. :)

I like the idea of one outfit per day of the week--maybe we could get by on that one.

I often think the same thing ... as I look in our closets ... filled wall to wall with clothes. Seriously? We never even wear half of them. Oh, to live more simply.

Noah got all his clothes taken away last winter except three outfits (for leaving clothes all over ALL the time). He earned another 2 outfits back - because they were sports jerseys he wanted to wear - otherwise he wouldn't have cared. It was SO easy and I always wonder why I don't do it across the board.
