35 has not been a good year for my metabolism.

My pants are snug. The mermaid shuffle is what I have affectionately named my current strut to keep them from splitting wide open in public (exposing my oh-so-comfy cotton grannies boy shorts underneath. Embarrassing!) Not easy!
To ward off the extra lbs., I've been sure to get some good exercise nearly every day, usually in the am.
Observation: it just makes me more hungry!
While we're doing school I get mean and cranky  jittery and jumpy if I don't feed the ravenous beast known as My Appetite. Seems to be a wash.
I'm seriously considering giving in and buying some bigger jeans at Goodwill so I can casually stroll again without channeling Aeriel. Really, I am a horrible singer anyway.
This whole thing has led me to one ((major)) conclusion.....
Rotund and happy is highly, highly underrated.

I am like you, exercise just makes me hungrier! However, if I would just make sure to eat the more healthy stuff, I would be better off. So, what did I do? Baked 3 batches of pumpkin cookies, and 2 batches of chocolate chip cookies! Homemade is better, right?! (like my justification?) Good luck! Right now I am training for the 5K Race for the Cure! So, I have been working my hiney off!! It will pay off, but I say buy the one pair of goodwill jeans in the meantime! When you're chasing around little ones, you need to be able move and breathe!

Wait til you hit 39 and those snug jeans are accompanied by aching joints and sagging skin! How could it all fall apart so easily???

You look amazing--I would never have guessed that you're struggling if you hadn't told me. Maybe I can pass my clothes along to you while I move up a size...

What works for me is contracting an impressive case of the stomach flu. It's the only thing that helps me maintain the current wait. *grin*

I would just like to say that I just ate between 6 and 8 mozzarella sticks after I had a homemade omelet croissant-wich with lots of butter, cheese, and bacon. I have no doubt that friendly supper and second supper will show me a visit somewhere I don't want them to! Cheers my dear friend...and for the record...paaaallleeeeease! you know i love ya!
