The Sweet and the Bitter

Watching my children grow up can be difficult for me.

I'm not one of those people that gracefully embraces the passage of time.

I miss my babies being babies.

Sometimes, I can hardly believe that stage of life is over for us.

In fact, if I didn't find such immeasurable joy in them as they are this very moment,

I might be really upset today as we prepare to celebrate my 1st baby's 12th birthday...

Good thing they make such amazing big kids.
