Time was running out.
My baby girl was getting bigger by the day.
She loved to ride in the backpack, and I loved toting her around in it.
I could do school, cook, fold laundry, while spending quality time with Dolly.
Our old, hand-me-down pack from our friend Sandy, B R O K E!
Oh No! (Insert eerie, dramatic, music)
Cut to black and white picture of mom screaming in horror.
What about all our financial savings ploys?
Would they tragically go down the drain for a new baby backpack?
OR
Would our cherished ride-along moments come to a screeching halt once and for all?
There was only one thing to do.
It was Sunday evening.
I was headed to town with all the kids to take the big 2 to AWANAS.
Exactly 1.5 hours needed to be killed while the wee 3 and I waited for J&O.
It was dangerously cold. (Insert eerie, dramatic music, again.)
I had to go straight to the top.
I would petition the Big Man.
Dear God, Please let there be a *cheap*, nice baby pack at Goodwill tonight.
Driving all over town is not an option.
There is only so much time, it must be at THIS PARTICULAR store.
TSC and their anxious mama cautiously entered the building.
And what to my wandering eyes should appear, but this very thing ($7.99):
I think I shed a tear.
Oh Father, I thank you, I thank you so much!
You are good and great, caring about small details and such.
I give you praise my Lord and my God, for loving me this way.
While riding on my back again, miss Clover can play.
No matter what, I would have exalted you Lord.
But, your kindness on me you have graciously poured.
I'll shout it from the rooftops, majesty to the King!
He is my God, who cares for my very being.
Happy Tuesday to you!

Strange... this very weekend, I looked at the baby backpack at the condo and *seriously* considered bringing it back here to donate. If only this had happened Friday, I would have for sure brought it back for you. Oh well, at least you found a suitable replacement.
wow! that's awesome and shouldn't surprise me. what a great God we serve!
