Oddly enough, the little guy in the picture wasn't the culprit. He was only there to lend a helping hand in surveying the crime scene, as an innocent bystander for the first time in his 2.5 years of life.
It was this one who did the dirty deed:
He landed in the corner for a suspicious, unbelievable, outlandish explanation involving an inexplicable loss of balance and flailing around resulting in a quick-thinking knee jerk motion to save himself from a death-defying fall, in which he happened to inadvertently topple the tree. Uh huh. Riiiiight.
Why are they covering their ears?
I was entertaining them with my Christmas song and dance.
Our savior was born! Lalalala. Feliz Navidad! It was beautiful. I have no idea why they don't appreciate my skills. I think may be jealousy. That ugly green-eyed monster could make it difficult for them to enjoy my keen vocal ability.

When 4 year olds really want to wear cool Power Ranger pj's, but it's far too cold for shorts and a t shirt, they do this:
None of these pictures or events were edited or scripted. No cropping, fading, enhancing, or color modifying. This is an As Is glimpse into our ridiculous home over the past couple of days, shared to make you feel either a) not alone in your own craziness or b) smug in your sanity and maturity. Your welcome!
Happy Weekend before Christmas to you!

Cracking up!! Love the explanation of the guilty party above . . . and of course would have thoroughly enjoyed being there (without covering my ears) for your Christmas celebratory song and dance. What's the matter with that family of yours that they don't truly embrace and admire your great entertainment skills?
LOL Tisha you made me laugh with the Christmas tree story. I can so see that happening and the little one just standing there looking on..
It reminds me of the story when a MUCH older kid (my Dad) was at my sisters house with her two boys (at the time they were young) My sister was doing some painting.... the phone rang.... she was talking on the phone... & the youngest boy thought it would be fun to pick up the paint brush and start painting the floor while mom (my sister) was on the phone...... The whole time this was happening my dad (you would think he would know better) sat there watching the boy paint the floor and did nothing. My sister got off the phone and I think they both got in trouble. My sister said DAD! Why didn't you stop him?" And he gave a child's trade mark answer "I don't know" LOL
those were fun to see! i love "everyday" pictures!! :-)
