Bob is on call for work this week Fri Dec 21-Thu Dec 27, so we celebrated early, last Thursday night. At first, when I heard he might be working for Christmas, I was a bit disappointed. However, when we got our plan together and I realized we could be completely finished with the meal, preparation, gifts, etc. a week before we head to the hospital for the baby, I got rather excited. More time to *relax* and get ready to greet Clover. Grandpa and nana came over, along with Big grandma for dinner, then the kids opened their gifts (even Clover received something). It was a very nice time and the kids had fun and the adults did too. Now Bob is free to come and go to and from work without worrying about missing out on something. Christmas day will be at his parent's house, and the kids and I will go even if he gets called to work. Worked out nicely all the way around.
