Kids by the Dozen Marathon on TLC

Unlike the rest of the United States of America, J had school today.
Bob, still on call for work, had to go in.
S and C napped at the same time.
Me, folding laundry, cleaning floors, drinking tea, and watching the Kids by the Dozen shows, one after another.
Good times!

You know what I love about that show? All the families are so pleased with their family lives. All those kids, all that responsibility, all the expense, no privacy, yet they are happy, happy, happy.

I think they have figured out how to tap into the blessings God has promised families. He is obviously a big fan of children, calls them a reward, a blessing, a heritage, says happy is the man that has his quiver full of them. Yet, in our culture, kids are often not viewed that way. People will say, "oh my goodness, you have how many children? Better you than me. You're crazy!"......so on and so forth. These parents of a dozen or more seem to understand what God is talking about because they view their children as a blessing, and while no family is perfect, they appear to be getting it right as much as anyone. Inspiring to me. Love watching. Thankful for the peaceful day of spending time with several dozen kids.
