Most of all, it's about time.

Why are we homeschooling?
At the end of each day, as we close our conversations listing the pros and cons...when curriculum has been discussed and the socialization issues hashed out...after schedules are considered and capabilities addressed....when the last pages have been turned on all the right books on the subject and appropriate activities are planned...these are our babies. Our sweet babies. They are getting so big. It's going so fast. They are growing and changing and learning and developing attitudes and aptitudes. It's amazing to observe. Above the many ideals to take a resolute stand for, or the multitude of things to stand firmly against, we just want to have this time with our children. That one reason outweighs any other argument for or against. Right now, we have 5 young people in our home, for a short while. We want to be with them while we have the chance. Watching them learn. There is no other way I want to spend my days and this most valuable gift of time.
