Silence is golden.

I already got into a 'thing' today with someone I don't even know.
What!? What a colossal waste of time and thought.
I guess that's the down side of speaking (or writing) up about one's own opinions, which actually hold very little merit (in my humble opinion, of course.) I've never been one to shy away from a debate....one of my most obvious flaws. It's okay with me to agree to disagree though (again, not that what is okay with me is really important.)
All that ultimately matters to me is that I do all I can to be right with Him. If I'm wrong, mean, ill tempered, argumentative, prideful, rude, judgemental, haughty, thoughtless, unkind, cruel, self-seeking, unyielding, or hurtful, my prayer to God is that I can humbly see the error of my ways and repent. I ask that I be shown my own blind spots and the places where I do not edify with my speech.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing unto You oh Lord my strength and my redeemer.
All this on-line conflict just makes me want to eat more candy.
Tit for tat and spat spat spat. Who cares about all of that?
I'm now going to shut my big loud trap and I do not know when I will reopen it on this blog, or anyone elses :)

ha! I got into a 'spat with an unknown' today too...I wonder if it was the same spat with the same unknown?!

I 'get' what you write so often!

and that's a great picture!

It seems to me like some people get attacked by nasty comments more than others. I'm not sure why, but that is what they are, an attack. Of course you can just hit the delete button and say bye bye to their words, but somehow they stick in the mind I'm guessing. I do think that you might get them more than I because you probably have a large number or readers (lurkers), my readers are mostly family as far as I know. So maybe you can take the nasties as a compliment to your writing. Lots of people read what you write, so there will be a higher percentage of nasties. It's just like being famous. Hmmmmm, I'm not sure if this comment is helpful to you, but I sure don't want you to clam up. I like your thoughts and beliefs and values. It's your blog, I hope you will continue to share your mind though I do understand the hesitancy.

I know no details of the how or the why ... but don't you dare stop writing and talking. You have wise words, my friend.

I loved your blog friends poem too. You are indeed a creative one!
