Those donuts look SO good! Would you mind giving me the recipe?

Deanna, Sure! Here it is:
No Knead Doughnuts

2 pkgs yeast (I buy in bulk so I used 5 tsp.)
1/4 c warm water
1.5 c lukewarm milk scalded then cooled
1/2 c sugar
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1/3 c shortening
5 cups flour
vegetable oil for frying

Dissolve yeast in water in large mixing bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients, minus 3 cups of flour.
Beat on low speed for about 30 seconds, then medium speed for about 2 minutes.
Add the rest of the flour and mix until smooth. (I used the dough hook on my kitchenaid.)
Cover and let rise for 50-60 minutes.
Roll to 1/2 inch thick on floured surface. Cut with floured donut cutter. (I used a drinking glass.)Let rise another 30 minutes.
Heat oil to 350.
Slide donuts into oil. Turn when they float to the top. Fry until golden brown.
Roll in cinnamon and sugar, plain sugar, or powdered sugar.

Eat hot and enjoy with no thought of fat or calorie content!!

I just gained 5 pounds (in addition to what I've gained since Halloween!) looking at that photo. Thanks, Tisha, geez. I thought you were my friend ;)

I had never thought it was possible to improve the heavenly perfection that is butter, but... fried butter? How could anything fried not be good? And how can anything butter not be good? :D
