Would you believe....

That some friends of ours gave us a free Wii, complete with a handfull of games, as well as drums and guitars for rock band? Yes they did. And yes, we were officially the last family to not own a Wii. The kids are in Wiieaven. Not only that, but they delivered it to our way-out-in-the-boonies house and set it up! We are very thankful. I only wish I could bowl so well in real life.....
Or that while sitting at the Denver airport, *innocently* reading a romance novel Good Christian Woman Magazine, a sweet woman approached me (causing me to abruptly hide in my bag put away my smutty godly reading material) and asked if I happen to know so-and-so (Angela Dormish). I said, yes, I do know her. She proceeded to tell me that our mutual friend, so-and-so (Angela Dormish) had at one time linked to my blog and she recognized me from it. They are in process to adopt an HIV+ little boy from Ethiopia, awaiting court right now. They were headed to Vegas also to attend a friend's wedding. (This is exactly the point that I began humming "It's a Small World" in my mind...)
We had a fantastic conversation with her and her husband, talking about all kinds of things. They are such a great, interesting couple. Too bad they live so far from here. We would love to have them over one day.

**Sidenote: I had to laugh at myself as I tried really, really hard not to be whatsoever offended when she said she *used to* read my blog....and appreciated my honesty. What do you mean used to? At what point did I lose you? ☺

Christy, if you're there, Hi! It was so nice meeting you. Thank you for deciding to take a chance and come over to say hello! We are praying for you, your girls, and the adoption of your little man.

My darling daughter sent me this note in the mail today. She gives me letters regularly, but this one is definitely a favorite of mine. It made me smile. Thank you sunshine. I love you Jayla girl. You're a little bit "goofie" yourself!

That letter is adorable and I just love the way she "highlighted" the key words. :) We'll have to come over for a Rock Band party once summer starts. So much fun!

*like how i just invite myself on over?*

LOL, you are NOT the last family to own a WII. We do not have one. Our TV is also a hand me down from my husband's GRANDPA; it is at least 20 years old. And we don't have a cell phone. How's that for behind the times? :)

Yes, Sandy, I DO like how you invite yourself over! Let's party!

Holly, Haha! That's awesome! I love your family! We are behind the times too - in lots of ways, but maybe less so than you. You inspire me. :)

Chrissy,
Seriously? Whatever.
I want WALLPAPER. Truly.

Heehee, we don't own a Wii either! (Tho if someone is reading this and wants to gift US with one, please feel free. :) )

I know Kristy too, ha! (I don't know her as well as Angela does, however.) You will soon learn that Angela knows many, many people! Heehee!

I never leave comments on blogs Tisha, but I wanted to let you know that indeed I AM here still!! You're so funny :) I think I was mostly trying to play it cool, not wanting you to think I was a crazy blog stocker! I really do love the way you write (and now I know where you get your writing skills....*smutty romance novels*!) I totally assumed you were reading some very wholesome christian book! We really enjoyed visiting with you guys as well. The whole plane ride I kept referring to you as "my new friend"! Sounds like you guys had a good trip....you deserve it. If you are ever in Longmont let us know....wish we lived closer :) BTW, what's your e-mail address? Ours is brettdolenc@gmail.com. Oh, and we don't own a Wii(sp?) either, and are TOTALLY behind the times too :) Take care.

Oh, and just so you know....it's me, Kristy, that left the comment. The name is coming up as Brett, I think because we share an e-mail address. Have a great week :)

Brianna, I AM seeing that Angela knows LOTS of people! I asked Kristy if she knew you too, and she said yes. I guess the Ethiopian adoption community is a small world after all. :)

Kristy, Hey there you ARE! Haha. I sent you an e mail. And, now I know how to spell your name. Thank you for commenting!! :)

Your kids weren't the last ... our poor, deprived children don't have a wii nor an flat screen t.v.
